The Election in Babylon

The Election in Babylon is about a society which puts everything, even basic facts about reality like the existence of the wind, up to a vote. A woman subject to a rich man's campaign to make her his loving wife, a teenager desperate for self-determination, a pollster burdened with the filth of disgraced celebrity, and an occultist who speaks directly with the spirit of Democracy weave through the city as the day of the yearly Vote approaches, and angle to figure out how to make their lives better this year, or prevent them from getting worse.
